Toph was holding Edward’s hand as they walked down the road. She was smiling. A date with Edward was usually a nice one. Expect for their. first few ones. She wearing something casual; a dark green undershirt, forest green pants, and a pale yellow shirt over the undershirt. “Sooooo, where should we go?” She asked him.

“Y-yeah— m-me too— u-uh..” Edward swallowed again, sliding a few inches away from her— to give eachother breathing space. “S-sorry.. um..” He’d thought it over too much. Tried to hard, and in the end he just felt it was too soon for that type of thing. A kiss like that— he’d never even kissed someone in his life, and he had no experience. He messed it up more than her, he thought. Not only that, but he was confused— or maybe not even that, maybe he just didn’t want to admit how he felt. Maybe.
Toph sighs. “I’m sorry…Let’s, uh…” Damn, she couldn’t think of a thing to say. What was wrong with her?
“H-how ‘bout.. we try.. e-er.. gettin’ some sleep..” That was the best he could think up, but he just begged for it to be the right thing to say.
“…Sounds like a good idea.” Toph said. “So, uh, good night…”

Edward let out a breath, eyes nearly half-lidded as he struggled with what to do. A kiss. A kiss. That was it. It should be simple, right? But it wasn’t. Not for him. He relaxed his posture, keeping the kiss going— he wasn’t sure if he was doing it right, but they’d have to pull away eventually. To breathe.
Feeling more relaxed—Toph closed her eyes. Just let it flow, nothing to be worried about… They stayed liked that for a while, little until Toph tried to slip her tongue into his mouth, this teeth blocking her way.
No, how was he supposed to— no, too soon? Yeah. He couldn’t even pull of a regular kiss and now she was—. If not for his dignity, Edward could’ve squeaked. Instead, he took this as a chance to pull away for some air— mouth shut then as he stared at her, unsure of how’d she react or what they’d do next.
Toph was surprised when Ed pulled back. Her eyes widen as she facepalms. She must have done it way too early and now she felt stupid. Great, just great. “S-Sorry…This is my first…” She crosses her arms over her chest. Damn she was an idiot!
